The Choetech ones work great for so much less. Belkin always seems to charge a premium but without the premium quality. I wonder why there are so few chargers that do 7.5, though?
Oh yah that’s the one. I bought it on sale for 12.99. Charges my phone each night.

I want to know if this will charge my series 3 watch
currently I have tried ravpower and iottie ones, none seemed to work

And Anker is a great product. Belkin isn’t a bad product any means, but I think Anker really has developed a name for it self with their cables and chargers as well, and I think the consumer knows that in comparison to paying something $20 or more the Belkin.

Just paid 40 for the Anker... wouldn’t pay $20 more for the Belkin as this is my first jump into wireless charging and I feel like I’m kinda throwing 40 bucks out the window for a problem that doesn’t really exist. Plugging my phone in isn’t a big deal, but I can’t beat the coinvenience it. If I feel it’s a waste of money I’ll probably just send it back to amazon.

I remember when Apple used to actually release products. Am I alone in this? It has a dreamlike quality to me so I can’t be sure that my mind isn’t decieving me. Oh well, Messages in iCloud is here!
Apple pre-announces products (and features) when it suits them.

One alternative is no pre-announcement; no official info until it drops. Ask Mac mini fans how much they like having no news from Apple.

Another alternative is a shorter pre-announcement period. Would you prefer only a few weeks or months notice? Why would that be better than longer notice? Just so those that want it—and want it now—don’t have to wait so long?

It’s like a kid having to wait for Christmas around here. Yeah, I get it. Not being able to have something you want right now is tough. Waiting is hard. But personally I want as much advance notice from Apple about upcoming products and features as they’re willing to give.

Wireless charging is ok, I get it. But WHEN do we get wireless pictures transfer to the PC? I take lots of pictures for work to send to people, I’d love to come back to my office from the plant, just set the phone on the pad and open MyComputer to move some pics... I would use this a million times more often than wireless charging.

I've been using two 7.5 Yootech chargers for the past four months, without any problems. They look nice and only cost $15 a piece.

Airdrop with Mac is what I've been using for a few years. Very fast and reliable.

Yeah, it's fine to pre-announce products, but when you don't release them when you say you are going to, that's a problem. Such as their wireless charger...6 months after their first release date, and it's still not here. Now it's just sometime in the future. Good job Apple. The most valuable company in the world with no debt and bookoos of cash, and they still can't release products or features when they say they would be released. I was kind of expecting iMessage in iCloud after the announcement of iOS 12...

I haven't bought a wireless charger because I've been waiting for Airpower. That non-existent vapourware lie of a product. I feel like an idiot.

Your feeling is well founded—that “non-existent vapourware lie of a product” isn’t due to be released for another seven months.

D’oh

Six months after their first release date? Nope, not even close. AirPower’s announced release date is still seven months away. Last September when Phil Schiller announced AirPower, he said it would ship sometime in 2018. Wanting it now, or six months ago, is fine but there’s still seven months to go before you’ll be able to complain that it’s late.

And messages in iCloud made an appearance in early betas of ios11 but was removed from beta 5 early last August. Apple said it would be back in a future update to iOS 11. Purposely vague, no doubt because they knew it would take time to be ready to release it for upwards of a billion customers.

Wanting it to be released in 11.0, 11.1, 11.2 or 11.3 is fine, but ten months ago Apple said only that it would be available in a future release of iOS 11. No reason to expect it any earlier than its 11.4 release.

I can’t understand these expensive chargers for the life of me. I’ve got 3 Qi charge stands in my house for 2 iPhone 8s and my X. $18 a piece from amazon and they’ve been great. They support 7.5 charging too if I use the bigger plug. But honestly I don’t care about that extra 2.5w while I sleep.

iCloud for Windows?? All my pictures transfer over and then I just delete the ones I don't need on my laptop.

Fast question and please forgive my ignorance. I have an iPhone X but I’m clueless about wireless charging. If I understand it correctly, I still need to purchase a higher watt charging brick (not the 5 watt) to fast charge with a 7.5 wireless charger? Does the Belkin come with the higher watt brick? It seems most of the wireless chargers on Amazon do not. Which brick do you recommend?

It’s a good question and yes you are correct, as you say the 5W charger would not be sufficient for wireless fast charging. In fact, it would be slower than using the 5W charger with a cable, due to losses inherent with inductive wireless charging.

I would highly recommend Apple’s own 12W adapter. It’s the one that comes with most iPads. It’s a good deal at $19 and will supply maximum wattage for any wireless charger compatible with your iPhone X.

You could also use it for regular wired charging using your current Lightning cable, if you occasionally need a quicker charge than wireless can provide. It’s almost as fast as using a USB-C cable.

Thank you for the help. I actually have an extra 12W adapter since I bought the USB-C fast charging for my iPad Pro. Thanks again for the help. Have a great day.

No prob :)

Upgrading the iPad Pro to USB-C was a smart move and will charge significantly faster than the 12W. I have the original gen 12.9” and under heavy load (gaming) the included 12W adapter would sometimes lose ground against the battery, let alone charge it.

Apple probably should have included the USB-C charger in the box, but the 12W is ok for most use cases.

I know all about messages in the cloud. I also never said it should have been out right away, but if it’s not ready until a whole year later when we should be getting stability updates, then don’t release it until iOS 12. They don’t balance their updates well, and then ther buggy. I don’t know why you’re defending a company that is clearly committing to too much. They should be able to handle it, and they aren’t. Anyway, good luck out there.[/QUOTE]

It’s not about defending a company; Apple does pre-announce pretty far out, and they also miss announced release dates. Apple Watch and HomePod come to mind.

But when people call things late before they’re even supposed to be released yet, it isn’t a legit complaint. It just sounds like someone who wants it and wants it now.
