bellsouth email not linked from phone to imac?

    I just got a new iphone4 and when I check/delete email in my bellsouth account from the phone it doesn't show up as viewed or deleted on my imac. The reverse is true if I check email on my computer. My 3G used to. In mail settings, SSL is on and server port is 995. Any suggestions?

    Your account has to be set up as an IMAP account for it to work like you describe....POP does not sync between devices.

    I wouldn't have a clue what the bellsouth IMAP settings are...Maybe do a Google search on bellsouth imap settings.....

    Thanks, James. I went under mail settings and changed it from a bellsouth mail account to yahoo and it seems to have fixed the problem. I appreciate it!
