Benchmark is 5925 of my 2011 2.3 Mac Mini and my 3-4 year old Windows laptop is 1200. Is this normal?

I assume you are referring to geekbench. Yes, it is normal. 58xx is the average score for the model.

    Mac mini (Mid 2011)
    Intel Core i5-2415M 2.3 GHz (2 cores) 6474

How come mine's lower than this score? And yep, I'm on about geekbench.

Did you buy geekbench? If not, then you're running the 32-bit benchmark. the 32bit score for your machine is 5884. 6474 is the score for geekbench running in 64-bit. You cannot compare the 32 bit and 64 bit scores.

If you did buy geekbench, then make sure you're running the test in 64 bit.
