This is a small review of the "The Unique PRO 0.20 mm Black Apple iPhone 6 Plus Full Front Glass Screen Protector" (wow that's a mouthful). You can find the full specifications at:

https://www.benks.us/screen-protect...6-plus-full-front-glass-screen-protector.html

This is a sample I received from BenksUSA (a user here on MacRumors). If you look for some of his posts in this forum you will find that he has been recently offering samples. Despite this being a sample I will try to remain as unbiased as possible.

First, some photos:

I am very happy with the fit around the home button and the speaker. TouchID is just as easy to use as it was before. Even though there are full cutouts for the camera and sensors I don't seem to have a problem using either the front camera or auto brightness. In terms of feel, when using the phone naked the screen protector you will definitely notice the screen protector when shuffling it around in your hand. As you can see in the photos there is some potential for snagging something in between the phone and the protector. I, however, do not plan to use this naked so this isn't as much of an issue for me. Another thing I have noticed (and I am sure you will to) is the slight clear line around the edge of the screen. Although I would prefer that not to be there, I don't really notice it when I have the screen on and am using the phone. I believe that I have seen this same issue with other glass screen protectors so I think it is just something I am going to have to deal with.

My main reason for this screen protector was that I was hoping I could use it with the two cases I own. Fortunately, it works great with both.

Below is my Ringke Slim:

and my Magpul:

As you can see with both cases, there is an extremely small amount of space between the screen protector and the case itself. When holding it in my hand and looking at it from the front I can't even tell there there is any space at all. For me, this is as close as its going to come to a perfect fit with these cases. I even still have a small lip with both cases with the screen protector on.

My last point I want to make is that I have noticed a couple faint lines near the corners of the screen (I tried to capture one of them in the below photo). It seems to get larger when I put pressure on it but I am hoping it is just some of the adhesive curing and will eventually go away.

Overall, I think this screen protector is perfect for those who have a case and want additional protection for the screen. It likely will not work with all cases (I've only tested these two) but for these two cases I am extremely happy with it. My only current concern now is the small hazy line in the photo above but I'll update this thread in a few days to let you know if it has gone away.

This is a great review! Thanks! :)

I'm really not sure I like the outline around the screen. That could be a deal breaker for me. Wonder why it's there? I wonder if it will go away in time? Maybe BenksUSA can comment on this?

I'm very happy it will work with my Magpul case. Great pics showing that!

I also received my Benks sample today and was ready to review it as well, unfortunately Amazon messed up the order and sent the wrong protector. :(

In the "holy grail" thread we have been looking for edge-to-edge screen protector that works with Apple's leather case. Does anyone know if this is the one?

Hey, I can take one for the team and do the test if you send me one :) (I have iPhone 6)

Great! Thank you for the prompt response. I hope they become available on Amazon. Have to try this out.

Wonder what this looks like on a white iPhone 6/6+. Can be a cheap option to change the face color perhaps.

I sent an e-mail to Benks customer service to ask about the outline around the screen. They stated the new revision of glass fixes the outline around the screen. They told me there were still some of the older revision mixed in their stock.

Here's a pic they sent me showing it without the outline.

Damn I want it! Looks great.

If it installs like the pic and seeing how it works well with the OPS cases, this is very promising! I hope the one I receive is the new version.

This looks like a really nice glass protector especially the revision with lines around the screen gone. Going to place an order!

I'll be ordering the second I see pics of this on phone + Apple's leather case...which should be soon I hope.

I have an Apple leather case as well. I e-mailed them. Their CS sent me these pics with the protector and Apple leather case.

I will say this, their CS is very responsive!

Hope this helps!

I've just received an email back from them as well listing that they do have a newer batch without the outline and that it does indeed fit the apple leather case. I'm hoping to see if I can get an updated sample and if I do I will definitely post some more photos.

Just an updated note on this. I still have some slight haze at the bottom right but it seems to have disappeared at the top left and right corners of the screen. To be clear, this is in reference to the faint mark you see in the photo I showed in the first post and not the outline that is going around the screen.

That's great.

Their CS seems to be excellent thus far. I'm sure they'll send you a replacement.

I received a complementary sample from Benks of its tempered glass screen protector. The product arrived very quickly and the packaging is excellent in all respects. The product appears to have been packaged with recycled materials and includes the usual accessories (lint stickers, screen cleaner, cloth, etc.).

As for the protector itself, here's the good news: the product appears to be of high quality. It fits the device (in my case, the 6 plus) perfectly. As described by the manufacturer, this protector is very, very thin -- easily the thinnest tempered glass protector I've tried. This really helps to prevent the protector from being noticeable and makes using the home button very easy. Touch sensitivity with the product installed is excellent.

Now the bad. The protector which I received has the "outline on the sides of the screen" problem which others have mentioned. From reading this thread, there is supposedly a newer model which fixes this problem. However, I definitely did not receive the newer product. This is not the only 6 plus screen protector which has this issue, but it certainly prevents me from giving the Benks protector a better review.

The other issue is that the edges of the protector are certainly not curved in any noticeable respect. If you look at the iPhone from the side, can definitely see that the there is a gap between the edge of the protector, just as there is on most of the tempered glass products currently available for the 6 and 6 plus (the imos Solid EX 3D is supposedly the one exception, though I haven't received mine yet to verify). The problem with this design is that it will almost certainly collect dust in the gap.

Overall, I give this protector a C+, primarily due to the outline around the screen. If that problem were solved, I would upgrade the rating to a solid B+/A- and feel comfortable recommending it to others.

This is a nice, fair and honest review. That's disheartening that Benks didn't send you the revised version, that addresses the outline around the display.

I'm still waiting for my 6 PLUS WHITE sample (hopefully it's the revised version). I've received two incorrect shipments of the regular 6 BLACK samples. Benks says until Amazon fixes their inventory issues, they can't send me the correct protector.

What did you do with the wrong protectors? I could review one of those. I'll pay the expenses. Seriously.

How can I get sample

How do you guys get the sample?
I want get a sample for my 6+.
Thanks in advance

Ordered

I pay for the unique glass white. I hope they send me the new version that fix the outline

Hmmm.... just had to have a screen repair (dropped right on that dang exposed corner) and got another Tech Armor, but it came with a chip. TA can't replace until March. I'm thinking about trying something else. This looks interesting.

Just as a follow-up...

I ordered the benks over the weekend after seeing this thread and received it today. I have to say that overall I like this screen protector. It works really well with my spigen ultra hybrid case and the cutouts are precise. I am a little disappointed because I received the older version with the outline which is not what I was anticipating but the good is that it is not as bad as it appears in the OP pics. They have great cs by the way...very quick responses.

Bad response

A week ago I contact them by 2 emails but I don't have any response yet.
Last night I bought the unique white, and I don't have any email confirmation or something I paid by PayPal.

Check your spam. My order confirmation for some reason was sent to my spam box.
