I bought my iPhone 6 (64 GB, Space Gray) back in March '15 and I noticed it was bent last week when I was sending a text message and noticed the phone stuck out toward me unusually. I'm not really sure what was the exact cause, but I can tell you I didn't do anything dramatic to cause it. In other words, I did not sit on it, or roll over it, or any of that.

That being said, I will admit that I do wear skinny jeans...really skinny jeans actually, and I do leave my phone in my front pocket a lot, even when it's really hot. The combination of heat and tight pressure from my pockets when sitting down probably put a lot of pressure on the phone and bent it.

Apple was kind enough to replace it free of charge, but I'm not sure what I should do now. I've thought about putting it up on ebay and getting maybe $600 for it since I got a new phone. I could then use the money and put it toward the 6S, where allegedly the bending issue is fixed.

On the other hand, I really don't want to spend another $200-300 on the 6S after only owning the 6 for like 5 months. I was hoping to keep this thing for 2-3 years. I was previously using a Diztronic case, which is made of silicone. I'm guessing this isn't a good idea since the silicone case isn't very rigid. I thought about buying a thick and stiff case. Perhaps that will give the phone some reinforcement and prevent it from being crushed by my tight jeans and fat thighs.

Any recommendations on what I should do now?

This is the case I'm looking to buy: http://www.amazon.com/New-Trent-Tre...439790116&sr=8-1&keywords=iphone+6+case+trent

I would change my behavior.

I'm admittedly bad at math, but if you're planning on getting $600 for your 6, how are you going to spend $200-$300 on a 6(S) again?

For only $200-300 more you could have an iPhone 6S along with all the new features/improvements they've made to it (significantly better camera, faster processor, better battery life, force touch display, and who knows what else they might've changed). I say spend the money and get a 6S.

Assuming the iPhone 6S 64 GB will be priced at $749 for a unlocked phone...749 + 9% sales tax where I live = $816.41

Assuming I sale my phone for $600 flat, I will need to spend a total of $216.41 to buy the iPhone 6S.

Gotchya. Was thinking $650, not $750 (forgot it was a 64GB). Best of luck!
