Why are we in the UK got pay £949 for the cheapest new macbook when if i lived in the USA i could get exactly the same laptop for $1299. thats roughly £680 equivalent!

I hate this fu**ing rip off country!

I felt the same way when I went to London last month and had to pay the insane 17% VAT TAX on my Hotel, Food, etc

Don't forget that the US price doesn't include Sales Tax, which varies from State to State.

It doesn't equalise the price by any means, but it does close the gap a bit.
