Best 10.6/10.9 USB 2 card?

I need more USB ports on my MP 4,1 whats a good card that won't give any issues when dual booting 10.6 and 10.9?
Are there any Mac compatible 12V USB cards out there except for the StarTech one?

I use the Sonnet Allegro USB 2 card.

I have not had problems in Mavericks 10.9, though some people do report general odd behaviors regarding sleep and shutdown with this card installed.

I do not run 10.6, however the box claims that the card will work with OS X 3 and beyond.

Why not opt for a powered USB hub?

I'll update the exact card i have in my 4,1 . but i've got a USB3 card in my 4,1 that works perfectly, and hasn't effected sleep or shutdown, it does take a while to boot (maybe an extra 10seconds) but thats it.

Its a Sonnett Allegro card
