I agree, Booq is very nice. I personally just have a Targus bag, and it protects my PBs very nicely and snuggly. Naturally, I also have a sleeve for each of my notebooks. I'm overprotective :)

Another vote for the Brenthaven Mobility. I looked at every bag from every manufacturer at MW-SF last January, and decided the Brenthaven best met my needs. My only complaint is it doesn't have much room to spare. If you're going to be hauling books etc along with the computer you'll want something larger, like a Timbuk2 backpack bag.

I also vote for the tucano2nd skin

It's really well produced and the materials all feel very sturdy + ibook friendly :)

i recently had my ibook in my rather crowded backpack when the zippers at the top started to come apart (i was jogging to the bus at the time) and my bag spilled open onto the pavement!

Horrified i picked up my ibook (in it's skin) expecting to get disc errors and cracked screens and the like, but when i opened the lid it woke up - no problems!

the only thing is it doesn't seem quite flat any more.. when i rest my right hand next to the trackpad it isn't flat on the desk...i think the battery is a bit misaligned..

****!

Btw...this is my first post and I'm about to pick up a 12 inch powerbook and was looking for something to hold my ipod, cell, laptop and some notebooks.

scroll down this page to see how this bag integrates a laptop sleeve into a backpack, and the backpack has a purpose-built iPod holder.

the only thing I don't like about it is the embroidered "MacCase" logo. I'd prefer a below-the-radar approach. otherwise it's perfect.

oh and to add to what others said, the Brenthaven Mobility 1 is a great case. I regret that I sold it alongside my last PowerBook. I should have kept it!

Current options include the Crumpler WeeBee and Roll-O-Notes..or the Timbuk2 Detour or Commute... anyone that has any of these- advice/experience aprechiated.
Thanks.
...ordered my 12"PBook last night- and it's already shipped! WooHoo!!! Now to get a bag for when it arrives :)

I'm in the same boat. My 12" pb is on its way from merry Taiwan, yet I've already ordered my bag. I have the Timbuk2 Commute messenger bag and I *love* it. I used it for my Tibook (which is going to someone else) and its waterproof flap saved my laptop from the rain quite a few times. It also has pockets all over like you wouldn't believe. :) There are two under the flap that perfectly fit an AC power adapter and an iPod and there's a zippered one on the back behind the padding that fits paper- and folder-size things. Very nicely made. This time around, though, I want something easier for carrying so I ordered the Timbuk2 Detour backpack. I'm sure it's as lovely as the Commute. [I can let you know how I like it when it arrives, if you want?]

But thumbs up for Timbuk

I've been asked to post a review of the Timbuk2 Detour bag, as well. Mine just arrived from FedEx today, so give me a couple days and that will be up soon! :)

[Not only did my timbuk bag arrive – so did my POWERBOOK. eeeeeeeeeeee. :D what a happy house this is right now.]
