Looking for a smaller type of backpack to carry a 13 inch computer and a few other small items. Are there any ones made specifically for computers like Macs that people have had success with?

Incase campus backpack is very popular, specially made for mac, and with good quality.

But well, I bought a sidepack and an incase sleeve. Looks good, is comfortable, and nobody thinks you carry a laptop.

This is my favorite. Converts to messenger bag also. Also has a slot to slide onto a lugguage rollerbag for carting into airports. The laptop section is also water resistant and seperately zippered off and easy to access. I've owned 2 now and recommended them to friends and family. Less back strain and improves my posture too.

Small size fits 13 inch almost exactly. Can get larger sizes if you want more room.

Very cool.

My favorite bag manufacturer is SF Waterfield. Their cargo bags are quite well-designed. http://www.sfbags.com/products/cargo/cargo.htm

If you are doing a lot of walking, though, I think you'll want a backpack. My NorthFace Borealis has somehow managed to last six years, it is still in great shape, and it is perfect for the 13". My color isn't sold anymore, I guess.

im using the northface surge M,just bought the bag recently, awesome bag lots of room..

I like the thule styling, but to where im gonna be going the next 8 months, "THULE" would sound like circumcised..:D

I know kind of childish to think about what other people might say about the bag, but ill be carrying it around town most of the time so ill save myself some time explaining it to them.. lol!!

dont get the incase campus one. it sucks, get the higher end incase backpacks like the nylon or canvas

i got the canvas, tad $$$ but worth it.

made a review vid of it too

enjoy

Good job with the video. Thanks for posting it! A very nice bag, but too many pockets full of old tech :)

We need to pimp you out with some new tech!

/me looks down sadly at his iPod 1 and clamshell phone...

By the way, get that Samsonite wallet out of the outside pocket, where someone could easily get to it (everyone seems to put there wallets there, so thieves would be wise to give that pocket a try). Put your wallet in the secret pocket!

I got a Speck aftpack a long time ago, and it's okay for medium loads.

The bag's material gets dirty rather fast (BAD FOR DOG HAIR AND CLAY!), and the bag has very little give for extra books, but if you're not carrying much, it's a stylish bag and has a nice plush lining for your macbook.

The zippers are really cheap though! The pull tabs break easily, and I have since replaced them all with little zipper buddies and cell phone charms. Works like a charm that way.

iPod 1, right? Just giving you trouble for not being tricked out with the latest igadgets. As I said, neither am I. It was a joke...

I personally prefer Oakley Bags...

I use the Echo Charlie Pack, you can even customize it:

http://www.oakley.com/custom/echo_charlie_pack

if you are looking for a smaller slimmer pack though I recommend the Rework Pack:

If you like over the shoulder get the Alpha Charlie:

A list of all Oakley bags can be found here, but not all are customizable:
