My lighting cable for the iPhone 6s Plus got broken for no reason. Apple said that they changed the materials few years ago and the cables get worn out easily. The Apple Store staff mentioned another brand (I think it is Native union). It looks like it got poor reviews.
Some cables from other brands also have compatibility issues. Which brand and model do you recommend? I need about 2m in length.

Anker cables are good - the Powerline II Dura Lightning cables, if you buy them through Anker.com or Amazon.com come with a lifetime warranty. I've been very happy with even their non-dura cables; none of died, and I have family that yank on the cord part (not pulling by the plug, which is what you're supposed to do).

Yeah, I've bought a bunch of Ankers. A couple of the early ones frayed, and they replaced them under warranty.

I consider charging cables to be a wear item at this point - eventually you just have to buy a new one. (Actually, with all the charger blocks I've accumulated from various iPhones I've taken to putting chargers all over the house).

Some mentioned in Amazon reviews that sometimes devices are not recognizable. Some said there is no problem. Has this issue been fixed? I am now travelling so I have to just choose from those available in retail stores.

Stick to Anker. They make good cables at reasonable prices. They are sold on Amazon.
Edit: just saw you want to buy local. In that case Belkin is good, Kanex is good too.

Thanks. Two Anker cables have been mentioned. Which is better? Powerline II Dura Lightning cables or6ft Nylon Braided USB Cable with Lightning Connector ?

They're both fine. The nylon braided was better than the older powerline because it didn't break as quickly near the connector, but the II version has been very durable IME.

Is it true that the Anker cable can charge the iphone faster than the AmazonBasics?

Between the Anker PowerLine+ Lightning Cable Durable and Fast Charging Cable [Aramid Fiber & Double Braided Nylon] for iPhone X/ 8/ 8 Plus, iPad and More (white) and the
AmazonBasics Nylon Braided USB A to Lightning Compatible Cable - Apple MFi Certified, which one is better and have no compatibility issue?

I am back to North America so I can order either cable from Amazon as well.

My Anker PowerLine+ Lightning Cable (6ft, Double BraidedNylon) arrived. It came with a nice box and a porch. Thank you all of you for the suggestions.
