Unfortunately my Brother laser printer isn't on the list of air-print compatible printers. I'd love to be able to print from my Air. What have you all used and what do,you recommend?

I've been using Printer Pro to print from my iPad mini to my non-AirPrint printer. It works very well.

I use Brother Iprint&Scan to print from my 5s to my Brother HL-2270. Works very well.
