Best 4" Phone

I absolutely loved the iPhone 5, and believe that it is the best iPhone ever made!

What are some good alternatives to the iPhone SE that people can recommend?
However I would ideally like it to meet the performance of a flagship phone.

Xperia Z5 Compact or X Compact.
Not 4", but not much bigger than iPhone SE.

I don't know of any other high quality Android phones with screen size less than 5"

Xperia X Compact, it doesn't get hot and can keep up with the Z5 Compact and it has a better screen:

I'd take the Z5 compact. It's not as tall as the X compact and it is also slimmer. The Z5 compact is also ip68 certified where as the X is not.
