That's a stupdendous buy!

Almost irresistible; however, if you have a mission critical Macbook Pro, it might be a good idea to read the reviews over the past six months.

A disturbingly high percentage of orders had to get shipped back to Newegg for memory errors.

I read through the reviews, and almost pushed the button, but the last complaint sent me back to Crucial for my (much more expensive) order.

Yeah I read all those to but I still bought them and it makes me wonder are a lot of those people taking the proper precautions because my MBP runs like a champ with this ram.

Dammit.

Okay, I'll give the cheap stuff a try. I hadn't confirmed my Crucial order when I tabbed over and saw your comments.

Also bought an OCZ SSD 256 GB that seemd to be a stupendous buy. Hope that wasn't a mistake.

You got that SSD from newegg? I checked the prices and they are crazy.

If only Amazon had it, they have free shipping and I wouldn't have to pay state tax.

most electronics are more expensive in canada for some reason even though the dollar has been on par for years now, I end up shipping stuff to my cousins in canada since it's cheaper in the states even with shipping costs

Not even 2 months ago, I paid $185 for that exact RAM, now only if SSD's would drop that quick too!

There is a $20 off promo code for the 8GB bundle. That makes it almost $3 less expensive after tax for me, than buying the two 4GB chips separately.

Now the difference between the G. Skill RAM in Canadian and US dollars is only $3.50.

$154.99 USD vs. $158.49 CAD

$1.0000 USD = $1.0100 CAD at time of post.

there's a $20 off instant savings for the american site
plus $10 ship for canadians

OWC NuRAM has it for $149 USD 8GB DDR3 but after I emailed about for a refund of the price because I bought it for $159 just less than 2 days ago.

Now, a few hours later. They switch the price up to $157 and emailed me back saying.. oh It's $2 diff...

I'm like nice try and GFY.

EMAIL:

Hi, --------

I looked up your order and the price you paid was $159.99. The OWC web site indicates the current price to be $157.99, a two dollar difference. I would be happy to process a refund in that amount if you wish. If you were seeing that lower selling price elsewhere on out web site, please email me that link and if I can confirm the lower price I will make that adjustment to your refund. Please let me know.

Sincerely,

Victor Owen

I just bought the NuRAM for $159 USD... and now they are on sale for $149 USD...

New price: http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Newer Technology/8566DDR3S8GP/

I don't know if you guys can issue a rebate or refund the different I ordered several days ago. Because in anyways, I can request a return for refund and re-purchase the new price of NuRAM at much cheaper price.

I'm not too happy that I found out it got even cheaper. Only 2 days after I ordered it at $159 instead of $149... USD.
