Yeah, I’m actually surprised they didn’t announce those immediately.

If anyone is brave enough to try the MagSnap, I’d love a review!

buy an apple silicon or clear case, cut the edges off and glue it to the top of a Qi powerbank. Voila - magsafe wireless powerbank.

Actually I have a Qi powerbank, but I don’t fancy the expense of chopping up an official case. Whats the cheapest thing that supports magsafe (even third party knockoffs)?
I've got a case already, you don't even need to go that expensive, you can buy the magnets from aliexpress https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/1005...earchweb0_0,searchweb201602_,searchweb201603_
maybe stick them to a qi wireless charging bank?
I was hoping for something light so it could stick to the phone like how the wallet does.

sure but if its light it’ll have a tiny battery. And Qi chargers are super inefficient so you need a bigger battery. Would be curious to figure out how small/light you could get for something that had enough juice to eg top up a phone by 50 or 100%

I don't think that would be the point of those batteries, I would be happy with something like 2000-3000mah, to make it light so it would stick on the back of the phone. Even with those capacities, you will double the amount of the battery capacity of your phone (minus the energy loss with wireless charing) .
It sounds ridiculous but it's a way to compensate for the small battery that apple gives us this year...

Mine MagSafe is very very tightly held on, if there was no wire it wouldn’t be going anywhere. Have you tried it?
Ditto.
My wallet hasn’t come off in my pocket or slide off while putting
In my pocket. Just more negative internet hype that people grab on to.
