I really enjoy the magic mouse but yeah, the batteries never last. Anything Logitech and bluetooth is a good match.

Look at this too for your MM

It's a rechargeable battery that uses induction. Very cool if you're willing to drop $60 after shipping.

wow great idea , why could apple not come up with that, i did have a similar idea already when the wireless mighty mouse arrived on the market , integrate the induction charger into the foot of the iMac , could be so simple really and all complains about battery life in the magic mouse would be a thing of the past (same would be great for the keyboard too ), as this constant battery changing on Apples wireless keyboard and mouse is annoying

I just bought the Magic Mouse today at the apple store, will probably purchase the Mobee's Magic Charger for it later on :)

Is the Razer Mamba safe to buy now? I know that Razer themselves were going to release a dedicated firmware for OSX in the final quarter of 2010 so I kept holding off until then. Can anyone confirm this before I drop $129?

Unfortunately no. The latest driver is still the basic mac driver. I do not understand how they can make the driver for the deathadder perfect but cant do it for a very similar product but wireless in the mamba.

I do believe you should consider the Razer Mamba before deciding to get the Logitech Performance MX.

Yes but what good would that do if Mamba's drivers do not support full OSX macros or the remapping of all 7 buttons on a $129 dollar mouse?

Anything Logitech, but at the same time, Ive had my Microsoft Sidewinder x3 Gaming mouse for some time now and its fantastic.

quickly change the DPI settings and with a nice simple design and with it being lightweight, its just an all round nice mouse.

Get a good Logitech :D

The problem with Logitech is that their best gaming mice don't have Mac OS X drivers. The two that I'm most familiar with are the G500 and the MX518.

If you do a search on the Logitech website for all gaming mice that are Mac compatible you end up with No Results Found. You will have to settle for a Logitech mouse that isn't built for gamers.

Any comments on this?

there is a reason behind that , not many bought a Mac for gaming until bootcamp came out and a lot of switchers could install windows and run their games native on the Mac , they didn't buy the iMac because of gaming performance ,most because a Mac is a status symbol with a good design and the people who just use the Mac what it was build for, for multimedia can live with the magic mouse , some even still prefer the mighty mouse
just think of it, i mean how many magic mice are getting sold to pc owners which do not have a Mac , the mouse works under windows , its not the most expensive mouse either , but i know of no PC user who would consider buying one
and for the big mouse makers like logitech its only natural to think in numbers sold , how many do we sell to Mac users and how many to PC users and the numbers on the Mac side might be to disappointing

I use the mx1000. It's old, but still the most comfortable mouse I've ever used (my brother has the performance mouse mx, and i like the mx1000 better). Unfortunately, the battery hasn't been good lately, so I am too looking for a good bluetooth! mouse with enough configurable buttons.

If you really love it, I think if you google around you can buy replacement batteries for the mx1000...it's a little work, but if you really like that model it might be worth it.

Hi,
I also use the Microsoft Explorer mouse. It's blue tooth, very comfortable ( but large) and comprehensive control panel:
