So I have had the Macbook Air 11" for the longest time, and the screen quality has finally gotten to me and I bit the bullet and bought the 13" macbook pro retina. Now I need a new neoprene sleeve. I see some market a 13" air sleeve as fitting the mbp retina 13" but is that reality? I have a tucano second skin for my macbook air 11", and love it because it's so minimal.

The Incase Neoprene Sleeve for the 13" Macbook Air fits perfect on the 13" rMBP.

There's like 15 seperate retina sleeve threads man, you'll find a million suggestions there. I think there's a few on the front page alone.

So rather than just trolling, how about you contribute something useful, like a link, because I did search prior to posting, and I only saw one, which basically linked to one particular case.

Which of these do you mean?

Looking for a super slim, super snug fit.

Thanks!

Yeah I posted in there, those are less sleeves and more "cases" as they almost all have bulk and flaps and straps and pouches on them. I'm really looking for something minimal... more specifically, I have a Tucano Second Skin for my 11" MacBook Air, and I'm looking for someone who has a Tucano second skin for their MBPr 13" or the incase for their MBPr 13" to tell me which specifically they have for the perfect fit, since none are specifically made for the retina size. I've heard most the skin\neoprene for the 13" air fit the Retina 13" perfect, but looking for confirmation from someone with actual experience in having one before ordering.

I've also been looking for a minimal sleeve made specifically for the 13" rMBP (but without a zipper) and eventually opted for the Tom Bihn Cache. Another user who likes the Second Skin on their MBA also chose the Cache.

the second pic is cmbp, the first is rmbp but the sleeve is already loose.

oh yeah i saw those. I'm looking for something a little less bulky\padded. I always keep it in the notebook sleeve of a backpack, so protection is less important than just a neoprene sleeve with little padding and dust protection. Was hoping someone had a pic of the RMBP in the incase neoprene and tucano neoprene

yeah, im going to look for sleeve like that when i have rmbp 13", sadly i dont.thread like this makes me want rmbp more.that sweet form factor.

Yeah, I'm going to run to the store and check out the Tucano sleeve for the MB Air 13" and see how it fits.

Like I said previously the "Incase Neoprene Sleeve for the 13" MacBook Air" fits the 13" rMBP perfectly. No zippers, straps, pockets, flaps etc. It's an absolute perfect fit.

Do retailers stock the item? I can't seem to find any locally... not frys, not the apple store. Where did you get yours?

This problem is really irritating me. I recently bought a 13" MacBook Retina and it's an awesome machine but I have never had this kind of trouble finding a laptop sleeve that fits. After trolling every computer shop in the city and finding only 12" sleeves that __almost__ fit or 13" sleeves that were about 2-3cm to bulky but would fit a MBA pretty well I bought this sleeve sight unseen:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/CaseCrown-G...08ZS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1362515967&sr=8-1

I have a similar one for my MBA and I kind of like never having to take it off. because it hooks over the corners of the laptop. Judging from the images on Amazon this CaseCrown sleeve looks like a pretty snug fit. I'd be interested in any other suggestions for a snug fitting sleeve for a 13" MacBook Retina.

It surely can't be a "perfect" fit since there are physical differences between these two. ;-)

To the original poster, you might want to have a look at this Suede Jacket Sleeve http://www.sfbags.com/products/laptopsuedejacket/laptopsuedejacket.htm from Waterfield designed specifically for rMBP 13" if you're looking for the absolute minimal protection. They do ship internationally.

The "thinnest" is 100% hands down the Crumpler fug, followed by the Tucano Second Skin. They also provide the least protection, but I am ok with that.

I hate to be nitpicky, but the Suede Jacket Sleeve (also see: RadSleevz) is ~1mm-thick microfiber. Although I don't have first-hand experience of the Fug, seeing as it's "double layer neoprene", I'm not sure how the Crumpler sleeve could be "100% hands down" the thinnest...

Well the radtech really isn't a sleve, it's more of just a pillowcase, there's absolutely no protection from anything except dust, so i suppose in that sense you're right. I wouldn't put it in the sleeve category tho, I think a brown paper bag is more protective.
