Best Antivirus for MacBook???

Just got my first MacBook Pro and wishing I made the switch from my POS Dell long, long ago.

I am a student and my university offers several programs free for Microsoft and Mac. For antivirus, they have the newest edition of Norton. I have ran Norton before on my Dell and it never really had issues.

Just curious if I should stick with Norton or is there something else out there better for Mac? Or should I roll with no AV since Mac is superior?
