Can anyone please recommend a good app for scanning documents that is easy to use and good quality.
I have tried the iOS notes scanner, but found it very basic and too fiddly to use.

have you tried Files documents scanner? It works for me fine. Previously I used onedrive for scanning documents.

I use the Files app. Tap the three dots (or long-press inside a folder) and Scan Document. It's pretty much the same as doing it in Notes though...still pretty basic, but not as fiddly.

Before it was built into iOS, I used to use Microsoft Lens (formerly Office Lens). I still use it for other things, like whiteboards.

I use Adobe Scan. I tried a bunch of apps (and the scanning built in to iOS), but none beat the quality of Adobe Scan. You can use it without a subscription. One limitation with the free version is it will only OCR scans that are less than 25 pages.

I picked up SwiftScan several years ago when I had a code. For what I scan it does the job. I do like I can rename files and copy them over to iCloud.

What does OCR Scans mean?

IS IT BETTER THAN ADOBE SCAN?
In my experience, nothing beats Adobe Scan. Scanner Pro comes close, but none of the apps produce a clearer PDF than Adobe Scan. I would encourage you to try a few, scan the same document with all the apps and compare the output.

I've used Scanner Pro since purchasing it 9 years ago. It has never failed me and more often than not it's hard to tell the results from those from the document scanner I use at work.
Hey
I have downloaded the app. I am a bit confused, how do you actually save scans to your photo library/email them to somebody? Also are all scans automatically in PDF format? Can you change the format?

Readdle makes great apps and I've been happy with Scanner Pro for quite a while.

They're not photos. They wouldn't go into your photo library. To share you open an item and hit the standard iOS share button (square with arrow pointing up). Never have tried to change the format. When I scan documents I want PDF.

Thanks for the reply.

Do you get the black line around the page of your scans?
