What is the best way to transfer Microsoft Word documents to the iPod Touch/iPhone so they can be read there? It is not imperative that I be able to edit them, but I have a whole bunch of Word files that I do not want to have to email to myself.

There are a bunch of programs that will allow this. All of the following can at least view MS Word documents.

One simple bare-bones one is Memory Stick. $0.99. No editing, e-mailing, or downloading though.

Or Folder: you can download files off internet as well. No emailing of files though or editing.

iStorage: the most expensive of the bunch. You can download and e-mail files with this one.

Currently, no known app can edit a MS Word doc file.
 
Thanks for all the suggestions. These programs should all allow you to view documents even without a data connection, right? (After they have been downloaded to the iPhone, of course).
