No problem. When you have installed FB and saved your files where you want to have them. Open Pages, go to browse and locate the file you want to open or modify. Once you start using FB you will find many uses for it!

Yes, when you open it from FileBrowser any changes are saved back to where ever the FileBrowser copy is located ( on device or NAS).

To do that from ‘browse’ directly within Pages etc to FB and a network share you require FB for business. Costs a bit more. Basically you are using FB then through the iOS Files app and Browse.

I’m using the non business version of FB (full version not the light one) and skipping using the iOS files app altogether. To open a file I go into FB not pages / recent files / browse. I open from within the FB app and ‘open in’ (same as I’d do on Mac and the File explorer.) then to save from Pages I ‘share’ and open in - File Browser. Then save where I want it (either overwrite the old version or save a new copy). I don’t like going through the iOS files app. It seems like a redundant step to me. But it does work that way with the File Browser for Business version.

By the way, I also noticed that one needs the FB business app to directly access a network share.
As far as I know, File Explorer (by Skyjos) can directly open and save files to and from network shares also without needing the iOS Files app.
And the iOS Files app itself makes it also possible of course.

There won’t be an extra copy of the file if you overwrite. If you save back to the same location with the same file name it will ask you (like any file explorer even on Mac OS) if you want to overwrite. I just overwrite or if I want the earlier version save it with a 1 or a after it.

I meant there will be an extra copy of the file within the app, besides the copy on the network share.

I apologize, I use the Business version. It’s only a little bit more and you can just pay the difference in price by buying the package they offer -
