Not only that but Apple typically has Back to School promos where you can get the EDU discount and a gift card and if you put it on an AppleCard you earn 3% cashback. That to me is the better deal.

As much as I think these devices are cool, I always wait as long as possible before buying any 1st gen product (unless I cannot wait due to necessity).

There will always be bugs, issues, "gates", etc., and even when there isn't, I can buy with (relative) confidence.

Yup, there are those saying the M4 is the ‘true’ upgrade to the M1, they may be right….on the other hand, Apple has yet to get large yields, which is probably why they are starting with the ipad…..Mac sales are down, ipad sales are down; there will be more deals. But of course, waiting the the M4.5 is a good bet.
