best apps and sites for icons?

hey everyone, i was just wondering what you all use to customize your dock icons and anything else you choose to configure. what applications do u use? and what sites do you go to, to get the icons?

thanks for the quick reply compile! i notice from interfacelift.com as well as other sites like iconfinder.com that the icons posted are made by people. just curious on how safe these files are?
