Looking to get a good monitor for my rMBP i just purchased thats on its way. I will mainly be using it for application programming so want something decently sized probably 23" to 32 but not real expensive either probably want to stay under the $350 mark. what would you recommend?

I don't have a specific monitor to suggest but rather what I would recommend looking for in a monitor. I would get a 27" 1440p IPS display, I have a cheap one I bought from my local micro center a few years ago that cost $400. The stand was really flimsy on the one I bought so I spent a little bit of money and bought a desk mount for it and it's excellent now. 1440p is the same res as the apple displays, IPS give you great viewing angles, and 27" seems to be the sweet spot for pricing and is still a really nice size.
