The replacement Bp-4L batteries on amazon range from 8-24 bucks. I bought a external wall charger for the Bp-4L battery cost about 10 bucks. So I will always have a ready charge battery at all times.

That is super cool. Just buy like 5 batteries, get em all charged and now worries. So the thing is... do you REALLY like the look & feel of the design itself? I was starting to get impressed with what jplusc and others I've read are saying about the juice pack plus like how the buttons are nicer (not having to work around a cut out) and I've also been looking for a 'rubbery' finish of some kind that at least has some grip so it doesn't slip all over the place like the iphone 4 does w/o a case currently.

So, I guess what I'm asking is could you give me some detail of what you like as well as don't like about the look, feel & design in general?

Thanks,
Phil

i got a iBattz case that has a removable battery pack. The case comes in white or black and 2 batteries. Makes for 3000mah of juice without sacrificing too much heft. It added a good feel to my hands. But I only use it during a long weekend where i know i am not near a charger for quite some time.

Hey, I've looked more at that unit on this review: http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/reviews/entry/ibattz-mojo-removable-battery-case-for-iphone-4/

With that, following up to my questions of the look/feel/design functionality, one of the things I asked before was about something of a texture giving it good grip not to slide around and it seems I can see on the pics of the review page that perhaps it is kind of 'rubbery' or something to get a good grip and not slide around right?

Ok so something that seems cool about is is the aluminum or steel kind of look on the sides and although the up/down volume buttons are inside a cut out the look with the aluminum feel looks quite sleek.

One of the features I was starting to get sold on with the Morphie though and I think a few others is having the speaker on the bottom front of the case so the sound is going towards you instead of just down on the bottom. It seems that was Ibattz has done on this case though is put it on the very bottom with a little hole... how IS the sound with this case then? Does it seem the same volume, less or better than the iphone w/o the case on?

Also, how about the microphone does people on the other end of the line say they hear you well or ever ask you to turn it up cause they can't hear you? I essentially talk on the phone for a living and have negotiations and make agreements over the phone so upmost best chance for sound quality is paramount for me.

I just found another case with removable battery with one amazing feature. Its called 3rd Rail 'slim case' with is about 11.7 mm thick as opposed to the ibattz 17 and the coolest feature is this 'smart battery' charger where you can stack 5 of these batters on top of the unit when charging and it'll charge them all!

Let me know your experience on those questions please. Thanks again for the recommendation and I'm curious what you think also of the Third Rail.

I've tried them all and none of them charged the phone back to 100% from dead. I just ordered phonesuit elite which claims it will charge the phone to 100%. Hopefully this will be my last battery case I buy.

Yeah, that is one that I've been considering and with 2100 mAh it should give it 100% and then maybe another 20% from what I've read. If you're a heavy user though and even that might not be enough on some days, there are cases such as one of these 3 that are all with 3000 mAh:

- NEW MUGEN 3000mAh POWER CASE
- The Mili - Power Pack 4 also has 3000mAh.
- The myCharge™ Portable Power Case 3000

There are also some solar charges I've looked at that say 2400 mAh and will also claim to give another 30 min talk time for every hour of solar charge.

the battery is BP-4L standard Nokia batteries you can find all over the net. The trim is very easy to remove. i think you can do a google on some reviews. It's one of the nicer base i think. Plus always having a extra charge batter comes in handy. SO far i have charge from 15% to full with one cell so i can get a total of 2 full charges on the 2 batteries. Without sacrificing any extra heft to the phone. I just don't like carrying a giant brick all the time. For me i use the case only on weekends i am away from a charge for a very long time.

Hey Scuzzy, well did you notice one of my big questions in my last post was whether the Volume / Mic holes were positioned well to either take away volume, if it's about the same, or if it even 'amplfies' it somehow by re-routing the sound to the front panel. Well, I may have my answer from what I read in another review. Please tell me if the following really is your experience or not:

Review by Nir Schneider of Gaget Mac:

As with any other slim battery case, the Mojo has no front protective edge to protect the screen of your iPhone 4. A small sacrifice for power, I say. Just like the PowerSkin, the Mojo has got only one multi-function button on the front of the bottom portion of the case that lets you check the remaining battery power and it also enables you to start or stop charging your iPhone 4. It's also worth noting that the small holes at the bottom do in fact muffle up the speaker volume a bit. Same goes for the mic holes. A bad move in designing only two small holes on each side.

Does anyone know of a battery case that has a holster? I am looking for something similar to like the Seidio holster not a leather pouch.

Bump, what's the best slim battery case? Offgrid? I'm wanting to purchase one but I want a really slim one.

Check out the mophie juice pack air snap. You can see it on apples website. I'm selling my white one. Pm if interested.

Well thanks for your help everyone. I've been reading over everything I just made the purchase of the Mophie Juice Pack Air. I've been using it for a couple days and it seems to do its job. The look and feel is very nice, and it does not feel cheaply made.

The only complaint is size. I knew whatever battery case I chose was going to add bulk, but I didn't realize how much. I was using the phone naked, so this is a big change for me.

Thanks for all your help. If anyone has questions about this case let me know.

Actually I have not notice much on sound quality issues. It's worked the way I expected not much in difference. Besides that i lounge reviews is about right.
