I had the battery replaced in my son's 6s + for $29 plus tax. It was done in 45 minutes! He says it like a brand new phone especially with iOS 12.1 installed.

thanks but my questions is about where brand is better to I purchase it, is a 5s not a 6s.

I got your question, but here is my question.. Why on earth would you want to bother when you could get it done so cheap? I have no idea about what brand is best as I would never bother to take that on.. I do know folk that have done this and had good success and others have done this and the battery was crap. Apple also warns you can damage your phone if you don't know what you are doing. Thus why I would never tackle it, but I think it's great for those that do. I was just providing info as to an alternative. :) Also you just provided additional information that you aren't in the US, so I didn't know that at the time.

Sorry I don't get it... get cheap what? why you suggest me? buy a iPhone 6s? or replace the battery with Apple?

Again, I'm not in USA I just need buy a replacement online and do myself the job (well a friend know how, he work repairing things like that... is easy work).

You just provided the info that you aren't in the US and that was not evident in your initial post. Cheap as in Apple replaces them right now for $29 on certain models. Perhaps someone that has purchased batteries can provide you the info you need. Again I was just providing an alternative to buying your own battery and doing the install yourself. But if that is not an option then certainly buying a battery makes sense.

I don't know if it's easy, but there are post on this very forum of folks having Apple replace the battery and Apple screwing up their phone having to provide them with another phone. So, caution to the wind!

I'd go with iFixit. They know their stuff and the couple of parts I got through them over the years seemed to be equal or better that Apple OEM.

Just go on amazon and check the reviews for the battery sellers. Typical they’re like $25 and could last 1 1/2 to 2 yrs. it’s cheap enough and an easy repair to take on if your have the right tools.

I would go with Apple. I bought two batteries from ifixit last October and both of them show service through the battery app on my old iPhones and both barely have 50 charge cycles. Ifixit doesn't use oem parts like Apple has. None of the other suppliers would be original Apple batteries either.

I’d go with he ifixit kit. I’ve used them before on friends and family iPhones and also on my iPod 5th gen and they worked well. My iPod still gets killer battery life and the battery is two years old..

Just about any 3rd party battery is going to be “pot luck”. No guarantee it will perform well or report the correct charge rate. Some do and others do not. The iFixit is as good as any. Good luck.

Thanks I'll go to try the iFix.

I live in Costa Rica, there's some authorized Apple stores, but I bet they charge a way more $$$ than USA Apple and I don't know they really use real "Apple" batteries.

I buy from iFix, import the thing and change myself.

PS: Why I need a battery? I want my 5S due the size, I hate big phones! I want buy a SE brand new unlock but I can't find it! :(
There's a lot on eBay that are "fake" unlocked by software and open it boxes, I don't trust. I need totally brand new and sealed unlocked SE, any idea where I can buy one?
