What is the single best book for learning CSS? I know HTML and javascript already, but I am looking for a good book that people can recommend that will teach me at least the basics of CSS (box model, cascade, specificity, etc.)

Thanks!

I think 'Beginning CSS Web Development From Novice to Professional' is a good start.

My reference is HTML, XHTML & CSS Sixth Edition by Elizabeth Castro. I don't need it but for the rare occasions that I looked up something, it was there and clearly explained.

I didn't learn CSS with the book though, I learned pretty much everything online.

Also, I bought it about 3 years ago but it probably still exists.

One of my first CSS books was Eric Meyer's CSS Pocket Reference.

Having a good CSS reference isn't something you'll out-learn as you get more experience - it'll stay on your shelf for years.

You can learn everything you need to know about CSS online especially the hacks; those are very important.
