I've heard Zagg are decent. Is there anything better? Any brands to avoid?
 
Most of them generally do fine these days. That said, I would say that Anker seems to be one of the more popular ones.
 
Anker Astro E3 Ultra Compact 10000mAh Portable Charger works great for me. No issues.
