I am looking at using an external Raid box with my 5,1 and so now I am looking for what would be a cheap external SATA card that is compatible with Sierra. Thoughts from the experts?

    Try the Sonnet Tempo range.
Cheap & eSata, now that's an oxymoron.........

I have a Startech eSATA controller, I didn't pay very much for it and it works great with my OWC Mercury Qx2

Cool. Thanks for the info. I will probably grab one of the startechs. They seem pretty cheap and I just need it to run an older external backup box.
