Google released the Nexus 9 in early November, right in line with the holiday shopping season. As with that release date, the N9 places itself as a potential Christmas gift. The lackluster launch combined with a lack of discounts for the holiday season just makes it worse.

"Best Buy Black Friday 2014"
  • 16 GB iPad Air 2 - $399
  • 64 GB iPad Air 2 - $499
  • 16 GB Samsung Tab S 10.5 (Titanium Bronze) - $399
  • 16 GB Nexus 9 - $399
  • 32 GB Nexus 9 - $479

That means all 16GB varieties are at the same price as the Nexus 9. And you can get the 64GB Air 2 for only $20 more than the 32GB Nexus 9. Even with Samsung, you can pick-up a 64GB microSD for $25.

I'm an Android fan since I like the open nature of the operating system but I don't like it that much when competitors are at good price points. 95% of consumers are not going to pick Google at those price points.

The discover deals is 5%+5% bonus cash back for the quarterly rewards program+1%standard cash back, so he will actually get 11% cash back, I did this as well.

You have to submit a price match request when you see the price change, then submit it online, and Discover will reimburse to your account.

When are you going to submit the price change request? And does it matter if Best Buy has them in stock or anything like that, like if they run out or its only in-store etc.

I am in the market to purchase a Ipad Air 2. I wonder if I bought it now would they would price match it on BF?

They would have to price match, only because the holiday return period is in effect from November 1, 2014 to January 15, 2015 for all purchases made in that time frame. If they refuse then tell them you want a full refund and you'll repurchase your iPad.

I will keep that in mind. I did purchase the iPad Air 2 on Wednesday at Best Buy.
