Best Buy now has a sale with $150 off most pro models, and if you order a 12.9” you get a free Apple Pencil. Too good to resist, so Xmas just came early for me. It gets written up as $250 off the 12.9 iPad if you put Apple Pencil in your cart first. And my BB card gave me 18 mo interest free. Smoking deal!

pretty fantastic deal imo, id Get all over this if I have a need for it .

I already have a pencil though and I got a price match used already for $100 off sale earlier like a month ago. literally on 90th, last day, from when I bought my iPad Pro with my discover card and a 90 day price protection policy haha

oh well I already have a pencil too so

just bought the large 64gb in space grey. i had been shopping for new hardware, and this deal looks like a winner. it's like paying for the smaller ipad pro and getting a free size upgrade and free pencil.

anyone have a good suggestion for a keyboard/cover? logitech has one that's lighted and $10 cheaper than apple's...

Even if you dont want the pencil, sell it to make the pro cheaper or sell it and put those funds towards the Smart Keyboard

Win all around

Purchased this basic cover for both me and my mom a few months ago when I bought us 12.9's

Works great and has held up well.

The pencil should have always been free.....and included in the box
It's apple though come on

Should the Smart Keyboard be included too

It's nice but no way apple wouldn't. Lots of tech in that thing

They don't even give it an adequate charger

Gotta love MacRumors - someone points out an excellent deal and others turn it into complaints about Apple!

This should really convince the last hold outs that haven’t upgraded from their 4th gen iPads / Air 1/2s ...

I’m very happy with the -$100 I had off from BB back when 2nd Gen 12.9’s were only $1099... as they say those who wait may get the sweetest deal!

Bought my 10.5 space gray 64GB a month ago from Best Buy for $549. Second time they have had the $100 off sale. Just bought the Pencil from Walmart for $95 which is their regular price. Went from a Mini 4 which I liked. 12.9 is too big for me. Nitpicks with the 10.5 is being heavier (with a Targus case) than I expected and being just that much larger to fit into two of my favorite carry bags. Just started using the pencil and think I will like this combo.

Wow, and I thought the $100 off deal I got at Best Buy was good. This would’ve saved me a total of $250 instead of just $100

I think this recent Best Buy deal of $150 off with free pencil was for the 12.9 only and didn’t include the 10.5. Although I’m not a fan of the large iPad and don’t need the pencil, and excellent deal nevertheless.

The other recent Best Buy deal of $125 off all 2nd gen iPad Pros effectively was $150 off if price matching with Target and using Red Card.

They still have 9.7" pros on sale with wifi & cellular for $479. Not a bad price at all. Im very close to grabbing one. The non-cell models are also still on sale.

That is a good price for WiFi and cellular on the 9.7 pro. I would grab one if needing cellular.

Yeah - Im very close to pulling the trigger. The other nice thing is that due to being a Silver premier member I get price protections for like 45 days which should cover any Holiday season price drops. ;)

If you can wait, I would wait for all the BF deals to come up. Sounds likes the prices will be similar to the best buy deal.

I posted on the other thread about my BB deal. To recap, I bought the 12.9/64 gig pro w pencil for $650, then returned the pencil promptly, which nets the ipad for $550.

It was a very deal. I got one and returned the pencil to get $100 back. That means a 12.9” pro for $550.
