This could be another option for people if they don't want to stay up to pre-order online or if pre-orders sell out.

I assume it's for pickup the following Friday, not for shipping, though it doesn't say either way.

Probably at the Best Buy Mobile centers inside the Best Buys. I remember last year... they did them in-store.

On Best Buy site, it says you can "Pre-Order in Store" the iPhone 6 but "Coming Soon" for the 6+.

Got my iPhone 5S with Best Buy last year and I will never get a phone with them again. Horrible service and experiences with them.

I was going to pre-order the 6+ from BB on Friday because I signed up to get a $50 gift card if I sign another 2 year contract when I buy a phone. Since it doesn't look like I preorder the 6+ from them, I'll probably go to Apple website at 3a and pre-order.

My wife is manager at Best Buy in EasternMA. They will take pre-orders on every configuration of the 6 and 6 plus. pre-orders will be IN STORE ONLY from 10am to noon. They haven't currently been informed what the numbers are that they can pre-order, but even when they will, she states this is just the company's best guess. The pre-order is $50 in the form of a gift card (which you can return when you pick the phone up if you want).

So... it's entirely possible that even with a pre-order you won;t get your phone for some time. I know the 5S had extremely ridiculously limited stock.

Yep. That's what the clerk at my local BB Mobile store said. Doesn't matter to me since I don't want the 6 Plus anyway. It's WAY too big.

If only the 6 had optical image stabilization... oh well.
