Apple Music Best Buy - Apple Music Promo Question / Help

I purchased an Apple Watch SE from Best Buy & it comes with 6 months of Fitness+ (which I’m planning on using).

It also comes with four months free Apple Music… I’m already a subscriber of Apple Music, so I was wondering can I simply give the receipt code to someone else to use? Are those codes specifically tied to the device Or can they be redeemed by anyone with an Apple ID?

Has anyone done this before? Thanks!

You can give the code to anyone you like, so long as they aren't already a subscriber. If a person tries to redeem the code being a subscriber, it will fail.
