I just went into a Best Buy (Canada) location and asked them about pre-orders (which they still have available for tomorrow).
Unfortunately, they said I will have to change my phone plan to a premium plan in order to get the phone. That would suck because it'd mean I'd end up paying $20 more per month, and I'd lose 2GB of data...
I asked if I could just buy the device out right but they said nope... not for at least 2 weeks. In ~2 weeks I should get my shipment from the Apple Store.
