iClarified is mirroring the entire Best Buy iPhone 4 launch plan which was originally leaked to HowardForums. The document focuses on the policies surrounding Best Buy's iPhone 4 launch and reveals some interest notes for would-be customers. Here's the most interesting piece:

Seems Best Buy is expecting "minimal inventory" of iPhone 4s on launch and isn't even sure they'll be able to fulfill orders to all those who pre-ordered. Those who did pre-order at Best Buy should expect a phone call to set up an appointment during the day to purchase your iPhone 4. Best Buy won't know for sure if they will be able to fulfill existing pre-orders until they receive inventory numbers this week.

If you haven't yet pre-ordered, we suspect your best bet for getting an iPhone 4 on launch day is to line-up early at an Apple Store. Apple Stores are expected to have an allotment of walk-in inventory outside the existing pre-orders. Meetups are being organized in our forums.

Gee, what a shame that Android sells more than iPhones nowadays, and iPhone momentum is fading. Poor Apple, what to do, what to do...

Best Buy sucks with any pre-orders. They screwed me with the EVO pre-order.

After my EVO pre-order and their AWESOME customer service skills I lost a lot of respect for them. Sigh.....

So you're telling me that a retail giant like Best Buy, the nation's largest electronics store, can't determine exactly how many iPhone's each store will have? I think Apple, AT&T, and now Best Buy need to reeducate themselves on exactly what a pre-order is. I'd hate to be one of those people who pre-ordered at a Best Buy and have to be told how their effort to pre-order a product (with a deposit) was essentially worthless. I guess I also would hate to be one of those Best Buy employees who has to hand back someone's $50 deposit as a Best Buy gift card and tell them they "probably won't receive an iPhone within the next month". I sincerely hope Best Buy employees have dental insurance.

Meanwhile I'm going back to check AT&T.com with stress ball in hand to make sure they don't fudge up my order as well.

If Best Buy screwed up their two Evo pre orders, I would be concerned what will happen with the iPhones.

People should have known what they were getting themselves into by pre-ordering at bestbuy. June 15 and 16th were the desperate times. When people become desperate, then they do things without thinking... like pre-ordering at bestbuy.

This post implies that you used to have some respect for BestBuy.....

I did.. In fact my vacuum pooped out today so I went to Target to get a new one. The wife isn't very happy with them either.

Anyway, I'm sorry to all the people that did pre-order through Best Buy. I feel your pain.

Glad I've got one reserved at the Apple Store :)

+1 No sense in dealing with 3rd parties, especially when this whole preorder ordeal has been a complete "clusterf*ck" as Gizmodo would put it. Mine will be on my doorstep on the 24th :)

Getting beter all the time

I feel bad for you all but I think it is funny as all hell.

The whole thing was screwed from the start.

I hope you're joking. If you think Apple cares that Androids 20-30 phone models are outselling the two current iPhone models, then you're in need of some schooling. Do you have any idea how much money the iPhone has and continues to bring Apple with the hardware sales and the app store?

Yes, the OP was joking.
Damn, I'm glad I'm waiting until after the madness stops. This is obviously stress inducing if people can't see a sarcastic post for what it is.
