I have some knowledge on Best Buy’s ban process. There are a lot of different factors for being banned by Best Buy (How many Returns were made in a time period, items returned at different store locations, was the same item returned excessively, price tag of item returned). Best Buy doesn’t ban someone just for a few returns as you said, it’s a multitude of factors that are considered. I worked in loss prevention for number of years and this is something that is over the course of time that acrrues in order to be banned from returning items.

And with the brighter display and faster dual core processor, it’s drastically improved over this first generation Apple Watch.
Unless you need the Apple Pencil support this is a pretty good deal.

Absolutely not leaving anything out
3 returns in a 1 year period, 2 were open box defective items.
Banned for a year and told to contact TRE to "Appeal"
That's not how you treat a customer.
That's the entire story.
I've returned many items over the years. Some defective, some I just changed my mind. Always quick and easy. I recently got a $100 gift card from them as a dishwasher we ordered was a week late as the one in the warehouse was damaged. We weren't even complaining. They just offered it.
I am wondering why this is being delayed? Is Apple going to revamp their lineup (e.g. add TB to MBs)? Or update TB 3 to TB 4 for better bandwidth? I just have a sneaky suspicion something will change in Apple's hardware with the release of their eGPU.

I've been waiting for a great price on the MacBook Air for the last couple of months, have wanted one ever since they came out 10 years ago. I could not pass up $649. Unfortunately, 128GB does me no good. So I will be installing an OWC Aura Pro X 1TB SSD.
Had a voucher from Nike for $150 for 5 years now, finally used it to purchase an Apple Watch 42mm GPS+Cellular. Pretty happy! I'll most likely sell it for the same price I bought it if I will like the 4th gen.
Looks like they're on sale for $250 today, and $50 extra if you sign up for the student discount. Very tempting to get a spare work machine
