So I just called Bolingbrook Illinois bestbuy and the lady on the phone said she got a memo of getting their second shipment in 2 months due to the disaster in Japan. Is this true or is she just tired of all the asking?

    Thanks

    Ethan

I guess that the lady you talked to probably meant 2 weeks instead of 2 months. Good luck. :)

Not true. iPads come from China via plane, not boat.

What does that have to do with anything? Parts shortages could very well cause this type of delay.

While more then likely the fabrication/assembly plants are in China, there are likely other components that go into the iPad 2 which do not originate from China, and could very well come from Japan in which case, yes there could be a delay. So you can't completely say this is not true unless Apple themselves says it is/isnt.
