Just checked online and if you are looking at buying one of the stock configurations of the MacBook Air Best Buy has them $50 off right now. $949.99 for the i3/8/256 and $1249.99 for the i5/8/512. Cancelled my order on Apple.Com for the latter and picked one up today as my Apple order was still showing over a week to receive. I know it's not a huge discount but it's something. I'm pleased.

Looks like Amazon has the same prices. Likely BB matching them.

They also sometimes have some openbox items for even less.

If you're good with a stock config it's not a bad option.

I’d order one as well, but there is no 16GB RAM version.
Consider the edu store -- or if concerned about qualifications, I've found some campus stores will offer edu pricing to alumni even with custom order. Also found AC+ is even cheaper via campus store than apple's online edu store ($183 vs $229). That's how I've bought my last two macs.

Last week, Micro Center had them for $879; now they're $929. Costco sells them for $949 all day, every day, and they have a 90-day return policy and a two-year warranty. Best Buy is almost never the best deal in town, and if you want to return something, you had better have a good reason.

I just picked one up from Best Buy and while I was picking up I returned an iPad I purchased about 2 weeks ago with zero questions asked.

That's your Best Buy. Here in Dallas, I've had issues with every Best Buy I've ever tried to return something to. Besides, 14 days to return something sucks. I'll buy all day long at Costco for less money and a way better return policy.

I can see how it totally depends on the location, that freaking sucks they are like that down there. If you're within the return window and the item you're returning is in the same condition, there should be ZERO questions.

I also didn't even think to check Costco for a MacBook, I just figured going to Best Buy and picking it up without leaving the car was the easiest option at the moment.

Exactly why I bought at BestBuy as they are doing curbside pickup right now. Also I have never had an issue with a return there. I also agree Costco is a great place to buy stuff.

Best Buy has extended return terms as a result of the Coronavirus. Essentially through May 31.

That’s the same price Costco has been using since day 1. So I wonder if Costco will be discounting it further to stay ahead of them

i decided to pull the trigger on this deal from BB. My choice was silver. As I was debating whether or not to order one, I watched them disappearing from all the Best Buy stores within 50 miles of me here in Los Angeles. I ordered just in time as the last store went out of stock.

I've returned items to Best Buy with no hassle. What experience did you have that makes you claim this?

Yup, all the stores around here were low or out of stock also. My guess is a lot of work/school at home along with stimulus checks = mac's for everybody!
