I pulled the trigger on the 15 inch MBA 512 GB from Best Buy a couple of days ago.

I've been in the market, and for my computing needs, saving $300 beats an M3 chip. I do wish I would have gotten Starlight though. The fingerprint issue is no joke on the Midnight.

That 256GB iPad Air is tempting…

Indeed. Amazon has the same prices, and I had some leftover gift cards from the holidays, so just this morning I picked up a 256k Air 5 for the wife, who was suffering along with an Air 3 with a 70% battery 😆 for her regular Netflix And Chill™.

The ~35% discount off list once was all said and done made it a bargain. She's set for another 5 years.

Unless you're really using an iPad to the max as your only device, I see little reason to worry about latest and greatest. But that's an individual decision, of course.

I’ll be replacing my MacBook Air.
Once the family got an iMac, the MB Air pretty much does nothing.

Realistically, the iPad Air will do pretty much everything I throw at it, I’m just worried that it’s going to miss out on the AI features rumored for iWork, spotlight and Shortcuts.

also, the landscape camera and aluminum keyboard are definitely things that I am interested in.
However, I feel like if I wait for the new iPad, I’m going to end up being disappointed, and I will have lost out on a great discount.

Hi I was looking at de same Deal, is the SSD fast on the 512 gb model? Is 8 gb enough. Are you happy with the performance and weight?

Absolutely. And yeah, the SSD is fast and 8 gb is enough for my needs. I'm not a content creator and I have a gaming PC, so from a browsing, media consuming, and doing remote work type stuff it's more than enough.

Seems like if you truly need one then the color wouldn't be a blocker. If you're willing to not buy one solely due to a superficial preference like color, then I don't think you actually need one.
If they’re gonna pay the apple tax they should get the color they want

MacBook Pro is dead to me until they reverse their decision to delete the best color. And since that’s not going to happen then they’ve lost a Mac customer for life. Unlucky Tim.
I'm just curious on the color you like. How are you going to leave that detail out?
