Correct, and to try and get an iPad to mimic a Macbook Air or Macbook Pro will cost that person a lot of money. At that point it's just better to buy a Macbook. The OS holds back the hardware. That's why I said that for me buying an M2 iPad Air was a no-brainer vs buying an M4 iPad Pro. The OS is basically the same on both and it's basically the same on a 9th or 10th gen iPad.

Oh you are right for sure about the OS, but best thing to do with a M powered iPad is to use it to its strengths and not mimic a Macbook.

iPads are not just large iPhones anymore, they have evolved into compact desktop computing devices. This one has a more powerful SoC than any Mac available right now.
Actually that’s not entirely true. They still run on a mobile OS. They might have the power of a computer but they don’t have the software to make it a computing device or take full advantage of the power.
