Across the 14-inch M3 MacBook Pro lineup you'll find $300-$500 off every model on Best Buy and Amazon. In regards to the Best Buy discounts, most of these do not require a My Best Buy Plus or Total membership and are available to all customers. The only exceptions are the higher-end M3 Pro 1TB and M3 Max 1TB models, which have an extra $100 discount exclusively for Best Buy members.

If you're shopping for the 16-inch M3 MacBook Pro, you'll find the steepest discounts at Best Buy. The biggest savings will be found on the M3 Max, 48GB RAM, 1TB SSD model at Best Buy, which is being discounted by $500 for all shoppers, and an extra $500 exclusively for My Best Buy members. This adds up to a massive $1,000 discount on the high-end 16-inch MacBook Pro, at the new record low price of $2,999.00.

Feels like this is most aggressive discounting I’ve ever seen in MacBook history. Sadness me that this is how much we as consumers get hosed as well.
same sale ($1000 off) as two weeks ago. but now, I can finally get silver and swap the black since they would not let me change my order two weeks ago. their loss. should have let me do it during the last sale, now they get a used space black. their customer service is backwards.

M3 max was a massive jump from M1/M2 Max because of so many more performance cores (4 more coming from M2, 6 more cores (4P+2E) coming from M3. In multicore M3 Max is performing like an M1 Ultra. Same with gfx cores, though not quite as much as with M1/M2 Ultra. M3-M4 differences should be around 20%. 1K off is a huge discount, well worth it coming from an M1/M2.

I've got a base M1 Pro looking to upgrade to a base M3 Pro (Space Black) mostly because I love the color, or should I just wait for the M4? I use basic software. Would the new device be future-proofed for AI, etc? I'm not well-versed when it comes to chips and RAM.

Discounts on M3 came early. I guess most people on Intels swapped immediately when M1 came, and more with M2. The ones left on Intel, like me, don’t *need* to upgrade. And we as a group still don’t.

They are challenging their own M1 systems, which is not easy to do unless their customers workflow is very demanding. I guess most people don’t see the improvement worth it.

You must not have to do many Zoom calls, eh? I'd say that's the #1 reason for upgrades at my company, the fans spin up so loud on those 16" 2019's during Zoom calls, the i9s are probably the worst and hottest. Ridiculously loud and long lived near 100% kernel_task just trying to cool things down. Once folks switched over to Apple Silicon the fans are off and they stay nice and quiet. I'm happily writing this on my personal 8-Core M1 Air (16GB/1TB) and am holding out to see what M4 brings the the table (and probably some time after that to get a discounted refurb)

My guess is that Sequoia might be the last Intel release? They'll get you eventually but hopefully you'll say: "Holy 💩! THe battery life and speed of this Apple Silicon is sooooo much better"

Honestly, the 1TB 48GB RAM M3 Max spec at $2999 is the laptop deal of the year. That's an insane computer for $3K.

The deep discount is on low and high end models and is the same as a few weeks ago. Limited quantities, probably like last time too.

My Pro M3 18GB/1TB 14" config is an extra $100 off of the $300 sale price, which is not all that dramatic.

For Best Buy Credit Card users, don’t forget to activate the bonus $100 rewards certificate with a purchase of over $1,000. That is in addition to the 5% rewards, or 18 months no interest financing if you choose that instead of the 5% rewards.

I look at the life span it will be shorted on the other end of software life of an update or two.
So it could be shorted a few years of not allowing an upgrade of software in the future.
Upgrades in software dont happen forever on an older computer.

Where do you go to see/activate this? I have the CC (the store card, not the visa), but log into the Citi portal and there's nothing there :/

Actually, looks like you need to be a Best Buy plus member too. Most of these deals require Best Buy Plus membership. You can activate it in the Best Buy app in the My Best Buy Plus tab.
