As spotted by an eagle-eyed Reddit user, Best Buy has listed a screen protector for an unreleased "iPhone SE Plus 2020" on its website. The screen protector is also listed as compatible with the iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 7 Plus, and iPhone 8 Plus.

The screen protector comes from the Insignia brand, which is owned by Best Buy itself. While there actually have been rumors of an iPhone SE Plus launching in the second half of 2021, it is unlikely that Best Buy would be privy to any information about this new device, especially this far in advance. The listing could be an SEO attempt or simply a mistake.

Reputable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has previously said that the iPhone SE Plus will feature Touch ID built into the side power button, as is rumored for the redesigned iPad Air expected today. He also claimed that the device will feature a 5.5-inch or 6.1-inch display with an edge-to-edge design like the iPhone 11 Pro, with a smaller notch due to the lack of Face ID.

Multiple reports have indicated that today's Apple event will not involve new iPhones, with the focus to be on new Apple Watch and iPad models. MacRumors will have live coverage of the event beginning at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.

I love my 8 plus that I bought used. I'm not planning to upgrade, but would consider an updated similar device if it brought the camera up to par with the 11 series by including night mode. Current SE has neither night mode, nor enough battery life (nor is it the nice compact size that made the original SE compelling).

I’m having a hard time trying to figure out the Target group of an iPhone SE Plus. It would probably be $499, and at that point I’d say just buy a iPhone XR for $100 more (the iPhone 11 will probably replace that price point in a month too). More compact and bigger screen.

I thought we weren't seeing iPhones?

If we are introducing a new SE Plus, aren't we just diluting the product space?

Diluting product line ups is a Tim Cook classic. Under Steve Jobs, it was the best they could offer at the standard price point (well until iPhone 3GS came out and they kept the 3G for $99)

Under Tim, it goes: ok, good, better, best.
iPad, iPad mini, iPad Air, iPad Pro.

Please announce the new iPhones already. We are tired of waiting.
Easy... apple is thinking for those with “thin wallets”
This month they can get ipad air and apple watch, next month the iphone and in November the new mac
Apple is so humble hah

Ugh

It would be damn funny if the only iPhone announced today was this SE Plus.
"And now, let's talk about the iPhone..." everyone is excited for the new phones and boom, the SE with its gorgeous design is the only model announced on stage :D

This has to be some of the most interesting news all day, mainly because the SE Plus is rumored for quarter one 2021, and if this were to announce today along the already available 4.7 SE2, I could see that being proven very popular for those who want Touch ID with an upgraded processor. [Especially with the right price point.]
