When I worked at a Target Mobile store, I sold a lot of iPhone SE units to people with less income or they wanted to get the child a first iPhone and did not want to spend a lot of money. A lot of them would buy it but not activate service on it and just use it on WIFI as a better iPod. Then later when they got older they could activate it with a cellular provider.

I honestly don’t under stand iPad vs iPad Air. I under stand macbook air and macbook pro but both iPads are identical .. product lineup flop
iPad, iPad Air, iPad Pro. It's a Good, Better, Best pricing model, many companies use that.
You just want an iPad, you want a bit of oomph, you want it all.

That's basically my dream phone. I don't want OLED (until it is PWM free), I want bigger phone than SE, I don't want FaceID and I don't want to buy 3 years old iPhone 8 Plus.

Would be nice to see it today, but I think the chances are low...

some of the 7 plus or 8 plus screen protector have a cutout notch leaving the camera and microphone open

Even the cheapest of the cheap protectors don't have such an ugly cutout.

It looks like an Android phone glass protector quickly salvaged for an iPhone to avoid trashing it completely.

It would be damn funny if the only iPhone announced today was this SE Plus.
"And now, let's talk about the iPhone..." everyone is excited for the new phones and boom, the SE with its gorgeous design is the only model announced on stage :D

Haha, well they do oddly say “in our most popular size” on their website
Which is weird cause if that was true then why make bigger phones?

I hope this is true. My wife is still holding onto her 6S plus with a broken earpiece speaker because she hates my Xr and all the phones like it so much.

I am sorry I upgraded my 7 plus which I preferred to the Xr. So a new SE with an 8 plus sized screen and modern internals will be the perfect phone for both of us.

It's true because the iPhone 6, 6s, 7, and 8 all used the same form factor. It'll take a few years to overcome those historical numbers.

The only thing worst than a notch in a phone, is an asymmetrical notch.

Ew... and btw, I do think it’s legit.
It kind to makes sense though. Look at your notch; virtually on thing on the left is the clock. This would give you more space on the right hand side.

Still ugly doe

I’m having a hard time trying to figure out the Target group of an iPhone SE Plus. It would probably be $499, and at that point I’d say just buy a iPhone XR for $100 more (the iPhone 11 will probably replace that price point in a month too). More compact and bigger screen.
It would be for people that prefer a Home button for navigation instead of gestures. Not everyone likes the gestures for navigation.
