this deal is in memphis, but they said it was either student discount or free ipod.

the store in Palm Beach Gardens, FL said the same thing - either the student discount, or the free ipod, but not both... however, they also said they weren't running that promo anymore, but would still honor it if asked for.

I'm going to try it at another local best buy, just for kicks and giggles. Hey, if I can get the free ipod now without waiting for a rebate, why not? Otherwise, I'll be getting a refurb.
