Just a heads up for the community in case anyone doesn't know. Best Buy has lowered their prices again on MBP's! Pretty screaming deals, wish I'd waited another month to pick up my 14" to save another $100....

14" 16/512 - $1699 ($300 off)
14" 16/1TB - $2149 ($350 off)

16" 16/512 - $2149 ($350 off)
16" 16/1TB - $2349 ($350 off)

13" M2 8/256 - $1049 ($250 off)
13" M2 8/512 - $1249 ($250 off)

13" M1 8/256 - $949 ($350 off)
13" M1 8/512 - $1249 ($250 off)

Those prices are excellent.
Better than those at the Apple refurbished store.

Well now I’m torn - I can get the 14” with 1tb SSD, or the base 16” for the same price. I‘ve never needed 1tb, but for a $450 difference is it even worth going above the base 14” model?

When deciding on proper SSD size, make sure to add 20-30% to your current total usage. The SSD needs that extra 20-30% space free to keep the drive running as it should. Too many people fill most of their drive and don't take that 20-30% use into account and then their machine starts to slow down (or worse) because of the filled SSD.

I got the 14" this weekend.... I wish this config was for the Mac mini... but I am sure I will get used to having a laptop again.... I have 2 - 28" monitors....

Are you all part of a special program through Best Buy or does the price depend on location? I bought my base 14 inch MBP for $1749.

You need to be in their membership rewards program, which is free to sign up.
I also bought mine at $1749 before the new price, so I chatted with them online and they applied a price adjustment.

EDIT: looks like the $1699 price is no longer available.

It's back on at Best Buy. Not 1699 but $1749 for the 14.2 16/512 model if you sign in to My Best Buy member pricing. $1799 if you ain't down that free program. Other M1 Pro laptops discounted as well.
