You gonna link to some of those reviews?

I have one of these, it works AWESOME and has since I bought it.

Hey, if you want to back up your post, great, please do so. But without specifics, you're just "parroting" yourself.

The article link goes to the Best Buy product page, which contains the bad reviews. I have an AirPort Extreme myself, and would have gladly bought another from this sale if it weren't a gamble. Paying a little bit more to get a warranty and a guarantee that you're getting the right product is an easy choice for me.

I'm only posting this because this entire thread is about getting an apple router on the cheap.

I bought this medialink router on amazon ($50!) because of the good reviews and the ridiculous price. It doesn't offer a usb port, so that is a knock on it, but other than that, it has been going strong for a few months now. I was skeptical with the price, but I thought $50 was worth the gamble. Strong signal in my entire house. The only hiccups I have are charter internet modem-related.

It only operates at the crowded 2.4 spectrum!

Test?

I bought one of these, and now you all have me worried. What's the best way to test to make sure it's working properly?

OK, let me ask another question. Which would you choose:

- Airport Extreme refurb from Best Buy

- Netgear WNDR3700 (NEW)

Both @ $89.

Coming from a Belkin G + mimo.

Thanks
