I have no intention of going into a store on Black Friday. What is the best online deal upcoming for an iPad Air 2?
Anybody else a little disgusted at Best Buy opening at 5:00pm on Thanksgivings day?

i bet ladies like this are excited...

Man, I wish they did that for the Mini 2. I also have a $25 rewards offer from AMEX to use at BB......arrrgh !

In my opinion, its never a good idea to buy last year's tech. The planned obsolescence will catch up to you sooner.

I agree phone wise because 9 out of 10 times you’re locking into a contract for a phone costing between $600 to $1000. But the typical tablet is much cheaper and you normally don’t have to upgrade a tablet every year. My general rule for tablets is to buy the previous gen if the price is right. At this moment there are no applications that truly make a difference between the Air and Air 2. You won’t notice any differences unless you have both side by side.

I say that if anything buying a Mini 2 makes more sense than a Mini 3 because there are only 2-3 differences between them. Not worth the extra money for pretty much the same tech.

I agree on Best Buy. Their prices are so easy to beat elsewhere.

What's funny is there is a huge Costco in the same parking lot where our local Best Buy is located. Talk about getting the pants beaten off you by the really big box store.

Not true for apple products. You guys should really get out more. I used to never shop at best buy either and avoided it like the plague. But they have some screaming deals on apple products this year.

I got an 11" macbook air for 650 this summer. iPad mini retina in june for 289. Mac minis were sold there last month for 349. There was a deal on the macbook pro retina 13" with 8GB ram and 512 GB hard drive for 1130 this past week.

The trick is using the 10% movers coupon and the education discount.

I agree for the person buying a iPad that plans to hold on to it for a while. But for the person who plans to hold it only until the next iPad released (ie Air 3), one could make a good argument that the Air 1 is a great deal at these prices. For a light user of the iPad, the Air 1 will hang in there quite nicely for at least the next year and at these prices, the buyer won't lose a lot if they sell it and trade up in a year.

Congratulation, you have just enough space left to do an 4.6 gigabyte iOS upgrade.

No , do not make it an option!

Ummm... that would be temporary space, and btw, iOS's do not stack next to each other, they replace each other.

iOS 8 OTA update pretty much proved 16gb is useless. You don't even have enough space to update if you use more than half of the small space. I can only imagine what's going to be like for iOS 9 update.

Picked up a 32GB iPad Air for $339 with the 10% Best Buy movers coupon ! Sweet deal !! :)

Thanks for the movers coupon reminder. Picked up a 32GB Ipad Air for $332 after the discount. Was also able to trade in a first generation 32GB Wi-Fi for $75. Out the door for $257 plus tax. Sweet deal indeed!

You missed my point. I'm using an iPad 3 as well -- but I wouldn't replace it with another iPad 3 if it failed.

I wouldn't either. But I wouldn't have any qualms with replacing it with a 1st generation iPad Air. I'm also confident many other people wouldn't have an issue with that move either. Whatever your point is, it is myopic.
