I would imagine buyer's remorse is more likely than anything to do with the device itself. The average person isn't as anal retentive about screen perfection as some of the folks that populate sites like this one........

Here are two posts from another thread. These two people alone created 11 open box items.

"In the past two days, i went through 10 ipads. most had tint issues where one side of the keyboard looked yellow while the other side was gray"

"I've also returned two iPad 3s - both with bad blue/pink random tints"

Like I said....the "average person" is not one that comes on this site.

And, as a default, if you go through 10 different iPads and cannot be satisfied by any of them you are, by default, anal retentive.

Perhaps. But if a BB associate told me some anal-retentive guy returned these iPads because they had yellow tint on one side; I wouldn't buy one.

That's the thing, if one is returned as defective it isn't (generally) put back on the floor to be sold. They send it back to the manufacturer to be refurbished.

I actually had a great BB experience yesterday. I just got a VZW MiFi for work (which works great by the way) so I wanted to exchange my black 32GB VZW/WiFi for a white 64GB Wifi model.

I was shocked to find a 64GB at a local BB for $629.99,so I called right away. The girl who answered said that she couldn't find that one, but they did have a black one. I told her I'd pass and continued my search. 5 minutes later she called me back (great customer service from BB, who knew!) saying they found the white one and she'd hold it if I wanted it.

I went and picked it up, and I'm am surprised at how much I'm really enjoying the white. I don't watch a ton of movies, but emails and websites look a little better to me, so I'm a happy camper.

They definitely had it priced wrong at $629.99, and good thing for the URL, as it initially rang up for $679.99.

I got this iPad 16 gig AT&T for 564.99 open box. I think it's a great deal and I get more reward zone points. I had originally bought a wifi from apple but sent it back because I wanted 4G. I feel like I got a pretty good deal and made my Verizon vs AT&T decision easy.
