I went and checked to see how much the biggest store in my state was getting and it was 7 total.
    3x Black 16gb
    2x Black 32gb
    1x White 32gb
    1x White 16gb

Best Buy is getting around 7-10 phone total, although the stand alone Best Buy Mobile stores are getting on average between 27-32 total.

There was a employee alert saying that some stores may receive the shipments as late as the afternoon on the 19th. However, standalone Best Buy mobile stores are reported to get them in the day before.

Also, stand alone Best Buy Mobile stores are opening earlier (per discretion of the manager of the store) my local one is opening at 6AM or 7AM. Not all are opening earlier just my local one it seems.

No they are not, like I said, I checked about 14 stores including stores surrounding Manhattan.

This is total, not 7-10 of each.

You work for best buy and you look at stock levels for two districts

I pre-ordered from Best Buy today. The only option they had left was a black 32GB which is what I wanted. I asked him how many total they are getting and he told me a couple dozen and they expected to have them by noon Friday.

Why would Apple do anything else? Best Buy and WalMart are supposed to be sort of auxillary outlets for people (the very few people) who don't have an apple store or a att store within close proximity. I could believe this number. Alot of people want to go to the Apple store for the Apple iPhone.

The Local BB had over 40 reservations for 16GB but I was the only one as of today to order the 32GB.

With the price changes anounced by ATT I find it hard to believe they would short stores. But it wouldn't surprise me

I guess most all Best Buys I've been in have the mobile center. We have two here in town and both do.

I was told that I would be the first to get my iPhone and could come in at 9:00a.m or earlier :D

Originally we were supposed to receive quote "10 of each" but there was an email sent out saying we would be receiving limited shipments.

Best buy has made available an excel document which has a list of every single store in the country and how much of each model they will get, I will see if I can get that posted tomorrow.

Okay there are Best Buy Mobiles, which can be found in a Best Buy Store, and a Best Buy Mobile stand alone store. The stand alone store are receiving significantly much more phones than the in-store Best Buy Mobiles. Just to clarify.

I was told by my local Best Buy that the average store was getting between 12-14 phones per store, he is the manager of the mobile section. I was only the 2nd or 3rd for a 32gb and I'm using it as a backup just in case AT&T doesn't deliver. So we'll see...;)

The one I'm talking about is a stand alone inside my local mall. They got many phone calls and preorders, but I have the first appointment.
