best buy don't sell there geek squad's warranties anymore for apple products they only sell applecare for apple products now.

Best Buy will take care of your apple product no matter what happens to it or it will be replaced. A must have for families with children. They have saved my $3,000 MBP and other equipment in the past. Its expensive ($500/3yrs) but worth it. They send it out to apple and you get it back in 2 weeks.

A must have for expensive equipment. it's just insurance, you do the math. 1 broken retina screen = $700

I usually hear the opposite, when it comes to BB's extended warranty, I see them trying to avoid replacing the product. I've had limited experience in the past and it was not positive. Things may have changed since then, but its not something I usually recommend.

One question, does Best Buy have a deductible on that accidental coverage?
And I would definitely consider Squaretrade Warranty. I don't know how it works for laptops, but for example for iPhones if you drop it and need a repair, you can always take it to Apple Store to get it fixed and Squaretrade will reimburse your money back. And depending on your plan, you may even have a $0 deductible..

And for iPhones (just as an example) if the cost is less than $125 or something, you don't pay a deductible and they will reimburse you the entire cost..

If that's the case for laptops, squaretrade is way better than any others..

They still sell it in Canada. I would stay away from anything BB warranty though.
AppleCare on mobile devices is recommended, especially for their international coverage.
I once fried my MB in Europe on a Saturday and needed it working buy Monday for a presentation.
That AC warranty saved my butt getting it repaired over a weekend.
