So how long until best buy gets the new systems? Im guessing they will be available today from app store, but not sure about best buy

But if they really do have the new shipments already then I don't see why they shouldn't be able to release it today along with Apple unless Apple wants to have people go to their stores first before going to resellers.
The BB I called had no idea what i was talking about...
Same... the Bestbuy I called didn't know what I was talking about. He double checked and "didn't think they got them in yet."

for BB. The person I spoke to there told me they did have them available. I asked when they would be in my local store. He took my zip code and told me the store near me (The same one I called, who told me they did not have them) had them already. I called the store back, and the computer department manager said they were expecting them sometime today, but did not have them yet.

Last year they knocked $100 off the price until they cleared them out. Seems like they did a better job with inventory this year as my local best buy is pretty sold out on all the 2010s at the regular price.
I'm going to Best Buy on Friday and I REALLY have faith that they will be in stock.
Edit: Just called them. They said they heard they were announced but they have no clue if they will be getting them anytime soon.

I don't think BB will get them any time soon (might take at least couple weeks). I remember looking for new Apple TV in BB when it was announced and BB folks had no idea what I was talking about. New Apple TV finally showed after a month or so.
I will wait until my local BB gets them because I have saved about $200 worth of BB reward zone points. I hope they will also honor the student discount as well. In the mean time, if there are any hidden issues, it would be a head's up for me.
